General Pest Control questions
How long does a general pest treatment take?
Most standard homes take between 45 and 90 minutes depending on size, access and how much activity we find. Larger properties with subfloor and roof void access can take a little longer.
Do we have to leave the house?
Usually only for the time it takes the internal application to dry — commonly around two hours. We will confirm exactly what is needed for your treatment on the day, and let you know if anyone in the home is pregnant, elderly or has a respiratory condition.
How long does the treatment last?
A general treatment typically keeps working for six to twelve months depending on the products used, the weather, and whether the property backs onto bushland, waterways or building sites.
Will I see more pests after treatment?
Yes — for a few days that is a good sign. Insects are flushed out of harbourage areas and walk through the treated surfaces. Activity should drop away sharply within one to two weeks.
